特別是在早期的面試中，我通常希望同時向候選人 “推銷 “為我們公司工作的想法，同時試圖判斷他或她是否有能力和熱情來完成工作並適應我們公司。

隨著面試的進行，特別是對於較高層次的關鍵職位，我一般會更加強調試圖評估候選人的能力。由於很難得到前任雇主的坦誠推薦，判斷候選人潛力的大部分責任必須在面試過程中產生。

此外，我更願意在工作面試中測試一個員工，努力挖掘並找出他或她的能力，而不是在以後的工作中发現我們處於一個令人失望的雇主/雇員關系。

Bob Adams (hiring manager): Susan Smith, I assume? I’m Bob Adams, pleased to meet you.

Susan Smith (job candidate): Good to meet you, too!

Susan Smith: Why, thank you, and thank you for seeing me. Yes, I worked right up on State Street. I find it a good area to work in, and an easy commute for me.
